Check out our Tie Dyed Shirts!

Students in Room 4 have completed their Art Project and had an impromptu fashion parade in the playground today. We invite you to come and see their work in full glorious colour at our end of year assembly on Tuesday 15th December at 9am.

European Country Poster

By now I'm hoping that all children in Room 4 have made a start on their European Country Poster. Last Thursday they were given a rubric which outlined everything they need to include in their poster and the marks that have been allocated for each section. Children will be given some class time to work on their posters, but they will also need to work on them at home. This project is due on Monday 30 March, week 10. They will give an oral presentation to the class on Monday or Tuesday. I am looking forward to being taken on an exciting trip around Europe.

Parent Information Meeting

A big thank you to parents who made it to the room 4 parent information meeting. We have received heaps of positive feedback and it was great to see lots of parents. Don't worry if you were unable to make the meeting as we will send the information home with your child.

Stay tuned to our blog, the school website and the newsletter as information will be sent home soon regarding the end of term parent interviews.

Welcome back to school!

It has been a busy start to the term.  The students have completed math, times table, reading and spelling assessments. This will enable us to target specific areas of need. We have also been utilizing cooperative learning strategies and heightening the importance of feedback. Students have discussed study areas within your home, talking in particular about avoiding/problem solving distraction issues regarding homework. The purpose of this was to develop an understanding that study is an important part of learning and that sometimes planning needs to be considered to achieve desired results.

We look forward to working with you and your child this year. Please feel free to come and chat with us about any concerns that you may have.

Regards,

Sharon and Sheelagh
